Calsayseat News

Extended opening hours. Since Spring 2010 we have offered extended opening hours. These appointments are provided to help those that may find visiting the doctor about routine medical issues difficult during our normal opening hours. Please speak to our reception team to find out about availability.

Please be aware that they are pre-booked appointments only, and access to nursing services (such as blood taking ECGs etc) are not available as part of our extended hours service, and you may need to book a separate appointment to arrange such investigations.

Swine flu H1N1

Swine Flu (H1N1) Vaccination Program
Summer 2010- it is not too late to get yourself vaccinated against H1N1 flu- it is presently at much lower levels in the community, but it is possibly going to make a comeback this winter and we would especially urge the following groups to see us about getting their vaccination.

* All pregnant women (especially important group)
* People aged six months to 65 years in current seasonal flu vaccine clinical at-risk groups
* Household contacts of people with compromised immune systems
* People aged 65 and over in the current seasonal flu vaccine clinical at-risk groups

Get yourself fit without the expense of gyms

Doing at least 30 minutes a day of moderate-intensity activity, at least three to five times a week, will boost your general health.

This level of activity is enough to reduce your risk of developing major chronic diseases, such as coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and even early death. Exercise will also enhance your overall wellbeing.
